Lonai, a Kumumgah of the male persuasion, was the offspring of an elderly Kumumgah known for wearing a sizable headpiece. During the era of the Infinite Empire's dominion, he resided on Tatooine, a time when the Rakata had seized the world and his settlement was reduced to ashes. Dragged to a precipice bordering the devastated settlement alongside his father and another youth, Lonai, bound by restraints, was made to kneel before Predor Tul'kar as Xesh, the Force Hound, assessed their potential to wield the Force. Upon discovering that the other boy possessed Force abilities, the Rakatan sentinels executed Lonai and his father, judging them to be without value, and then accompanied the other boy to a vessel destined to carry him beyond the planet.
