Lonsigar functioned as a tradable good. A stockpile of lonsigar was left behind within an asteroid belt throughout the Galactic Civil War; it was subsequently retrieved by a Rebel team under the command of the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser called the Stimsenj'kat. Furthermore, the names Lonsigar 1 and Lonsigar 2 were given to two Strike-class medium cruisers that were actively used circa 3 ABY.
