The Lowlands constituted a specific area on the world of Aldhani, a planet. Within the Lowlands existed the Enterprise Zone, which also housed the majority of the planet's native population. Lieutenant [Gorn](/article/gorn], the rebel spy, aimed to divert the Aldhani Garrison's focus towards the Lowlands to create a diversion.
Following the Galactic Empire's forced relocation of the Dhani people residing in the Lowlands to the newly established Enterprise Zone, only a small number remained outside of it, primarily those who were ghoat-herders.
