During the era of the Galactic Civil War, a male Human known as Loy Kommas operated as a Dark Jedi in service to the Galactic Empire.
Following the pivotal Battle of Yavin, Loy Kommas, a wielder of a lightsaber and a Dark Jedi, aligned himself with the Galactic Empire. In the year 1 ABY, he found himself stationed at the Detainment Facility within the Imperial Fortress located on Yavin 4. At this time, the Empire had taken six Rebel pilots captive, imprisoning them within the aforementioned facility. During the Remembrance Day celebrations of that same year, Wedge Antilles, an Officer in the Alliance Starfighter Corps, orchestrated a rescue mission, deploying a team of loyal Rebel spacers to liberate the imprisoned pilots. These Rebel operatives launched an assault on the prison, resulting in the death of Loy Kommas. Subsequently, one of the spacers appropriated his Dark Jed robe, intending for one of the rescued Rebel pilots to utilize it as a disguise to facilitate their escape from the base undetected.
Loy Kommas appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was eventually shut down on December 15, 2011. Loy Kommas was introduced to the game in "Game Update 11," which was released on June 23, 2009. He was present in the game during the Empire Day events of 2009, 2010, and 2011.
