Lunis

Lunis, a Force-sensitive Weequay, was raised outside the traditional customs of his homeworld, Sriluur. Unlike many of his species, he did not fixate on the deity known as the Quay. Educated by the Jedi Order in the ways of the Force, Lunis eventually achieved the rank of Jedi Master. He then selected Obs Kaj, a young Falleen Initiate, to be his Padawan. When the Republic went to war against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the pair joined the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic.

Master Lunis, in his capacity as a General, was dispatched with his Padawan to investigate alleged illegal cloning activities on the planet Katanos VII. The horrors of the Clone Wars had a profound impact on the Master-Padawan relationship, leading Lunis to fear the growing emotional distance between them. Before landing on the planet, Lunis spoke privately with Kaj, assuring her of his continued care and expressing his hope for a reconnection through the Force. Upon meeting with Stiv Kram on the planet, Lunis inquired about the rumored cloning facility, but Kram denied its existence.

However, through her own investigation, Kaj uncovered a vast cloning facility filled with unsuccessful experiments. Through further questioning of Kram, Master Lunis discovered that the planet's inhabitants had constructed the facility in an attempt to provide something of value to the Republic, but their efforts had consistently failed. Capitalizing on the situation, Kram decided to capture the Jedi and hand them over to the Confederacy in exchange for the bounty placed on all Jedi. As the miners of the world attacked Lunis, the Weequay tried to establish a mental connection with his Padawan to strengthen his resolve. However, Kaj, increasingly disillusioned with the Order due to the miners' betrayal, resisted her master's attempt. Alone against a multitude of enemies, Master Lunis was swiftly killed by the miners.
