The M2398 system, also referred to as the Blood Nest system, was a star system infamous for being the home of a pirate organization. Situated within the Halori sector of the Mid Rim region of the galaxy, the system featured the desolate gas giant named M2398, which was encircled by an asteroid belt and at least one moon.
A group of pirates established their base of operations on the moon, called the Blood Nest, and within the asteroid belt. Wraith Squadron journeyed to the planet to execute operations originating from the Night Caller, a CR90 corvette that the squadron had seized from Warlord Zsinj.
The first casualty within Wraith Squadron, Jesmin Ackbar, perished during a dogfight that occurred above the moon.
