Macula Station
The primary space station circling the planet Belsavis during the Cold War and Galactic War eras, fought between the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire, was known as Macula Station, belonging to the Galactic Republic. Because all visitors to the [prison](/article/prison/legends] world had to dock at the station before taking a shuttle to the Prison Administration Center, it represented the sole authorized method of accessing the planet's surface.
Behind the scenes
BioWare brought the Belsavis Republic Orbital Station into existence for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that launched on December 20, 2011. As the spaceport for Republic characters on Belsavis, it is only accessible to Republic players who own their own starship. From there, players are able to board a shuttle that will take them down to the Prison Administration Center located on the planet.
