During the Cold War, Maelrich Alde, a noblewoman of Alderaanian House Alde, made her home on Alderaan. Her relative, Alethios, held the rank of captain at Wardpost Landa. As an adversary of House Rist, Alde endeavored to sabotage the satellite relays owned by the Rists, located in the Juran Mountains, to stop them from eavesdropping on communications in that area.
