Malyas was a male Human individual who aligned himself with the Believers, a Sith-adoring cult. This occurred in the latter years of the Galactic Republic. Circa 31 BBY, a group of spacers launched an offensive, resulting in Malyas's defeat. The confrontation took place at a clandestine Believer hideout situated within the undercity of the planet Coruscant.
During the declining years of the Galactic Republic, Malyas, a male Human scoundrel, dedicated himself to the Believers, a Sith-worshipping cult operating within the Cularin system. Approximately around 31 BBY, the Believers initiated a plot to secure the Pulas, a potent Sith artifact discovered on the planet Almas by the Jedi Order. Following the cultists' acquisition of a Mandalorian iron box, suspected to contain the Pulas, Malyas was part of a Believer contingent that convened in a secret hideout located in the undercity of the galactic capital planet Coruscant. Unbeknownst to them, the box was a ruse, holding instead a fragment of the dark side-infused city Conkesta.
A team of spacers made their way to the Believer base, intent on retrieving the stolen artifact. The ensuing clash led to the defeat of Malyas and his fellow cultists, and the Mandalorian iron box was successfully reclaimed from the Believers' grasp.
While present at the Believer's clandestine location in Coruscant's undercity, Malyas was dressed in ordinary street clothes. His weaponry consisted of a dagger and a blaster pistol.
Malyas was a character in Coruscani Dawn, a 2002 roleplaying scenario featured in the Living Force campaign. The scenario casts players as the spacers who confront Malyas while attempting to recover the stolen Mandalorian iron box. Should the player characters fail to capture a Believer guarding the entrance to the cult's base, Malyas and the other Believers will brace for a fight and set up an ambush for the arriving spacers. Alternatively, if the player characters successfully breach the hideout, Malyas will be found simply loitering within the base, caught off guard by the spacers' sudden appearance. Regardless of the circumstances, the subsequent battle provides an opportunity for player characters to incapacitate or kill Malyas.
Despite his portrayal in Coruscani Dawn as a member of the Believers, a cult dedicated to the dark side of the Force, the adventure leaves ambiguous whether he is a Force-user. His roleplaying statistics, as provided in the adventure, do not suggest any proficiency in Force powers.
