Across the mountains and grasslands of several Core Worlds, a pack-hunting species of feline predators roamed: the Manka cat. The largest population of these creatures resided in the mountains of Alderaan. The destruction of that planet caused a significant decrease in their numbers, but the species wasn't quite endangered yet.
These beasts measured from 1.5 to almost 2 meters long, possessing bodies that were built low to the ground, allowing them to conceal themselves within tall grass or between rocky structures. A thick mane of fur encircling their necks, in addition to two pairs of intimidating, forward-protruding tusks in their lower jaws, also set Manka cats apart.
