The Marauders functioned as a division of the expansive White Maw collective of pirates. They operated on the ice planet of Hoth throughout the Galactic War. Seeking to abandon the Sith Empire, Admiral Layek Davos contracted a number of Marauders to escort himself and his forces to the location known as the Starship Graveyard.
