The horrific event known as the Massacre of Myomar was committed by Grand Admiral Ishin-Il-Raz of the Imperial forces. Il-Raz, aiming to gain the approval of the Galactic Emperor Palpatine, engaged in several military operations sometime between 2 BBY and 4 ABY (the year of the Battle of Endor). These actions included the bombardment of Shalam and the assault on the people of the planet Myomar, located in the Expansion Region. From his flagship, the [Emperor's Disciple](/article/emperor%27s_disciple Star Destroyer](/article/star_destroyer/legends)_, Il-Raz oversaw the massacre, resulting in an Imperial victory but with significant civilian deaths on Myomar.
