During the Galactic Civil War, the Maulers utilized the Mauler Bunker, an underground installation. This facility was situated not far to the west of the Gungan Sacred Place within the Lasay Swamp on Naboo, a world located in the Mid Rim. Sometime after the Battle of Yavin which took place in 0 BBY, Boss Rugor Nass dispatched a spacer to this bunker in order to recover a Gungan artifact that the Maulers had pilfered. Several Maulers met their death, among them Driton Fitch.
Before its shutdown on December 15, 2011, the Mauler Bunker existed as a location featured in Star Wars Galaxies, the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003. The Mauler Bunker was introduced to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
