Megasecurity Ward 23, a clandestine storage facility, began its existence as a segment of the Belsavis prison before the Star Cabal repurposed it. The Star Cabal utilized it as a repository for a variety of armaments, technological advancements, and other valuable items they had developed but wished to keep hidden from the broader galaxy, such as Microdroids and genetic blueprints. The SCORPIO artificial intelligence droid served as its guardian.
Within the Ward, the Star Cabal's most esteemed figures were maintained in suspended animation within Kolto tanks. One of these individuals had lived for more than 800 years by the year 3641 BBY. These figures were preserved due to their extensive knowledge, despite their own expressions of sorrow regarding the corruption of the Star Cabal's initial goals.
