Meirana, a female Tarasin, was the sibling of both Dariana and Liriana.
Being somewhat more experienced and a little older than Dariana, she functioned as Irstat-Kes of the Hiironi irstat for a considerable number of years. Meirana was prepared to advance to the position of Mother of the Hiironi when the previous one was slain by a kilassin, but she tragically succumbed to an unusual illness in a mere day. The other adepts within the irstat declared that she had been summoned to unite with the world. As per the established order of succession, Dariana, albeit unwillingly, took over from Meirana as Mother.
