Micah, a human with the potential to use the Force, found himself pursued by the Galactic Empire. In the time of the Imperial Era, the Empire subjected Micah and the kids from his village to a series of examinations. The results of these tests indicated Micah's connection to the Force, which led the Empire to seek his capture. Consequently, his mother and father escaped their village, encountering a traveler who advised them to seek out the healer Barriss Offee. Offee explained that the Jedi Order once trained children like Micah who showed similar promise, but now those abilities made him a target. As the Fourth Sister drew near, Offee instructed her Mohsenian and human helpers to guide Micah and his parents to her ship so they could flee the system. She assured them that an ally would await them at their designated meeting point.
