Mighella, a Nightsister hailing from Dathomir, was a Human female. She functioned as the dedicated bodyguard and enforcer for Alexi Garyn, the crime lord in charge of the notorious Black Sun criminal organization. Mighella unflinchingly carried out Garyn's commands, utilizing her sword and the strength of the dark side of the Force. In the year 33 BBY, Mighella's service to Alexi Garyn reached its conclusion when a mysterious Force-wielding assassin known only as "Maul" systematically eliminated each Vigo within Black Sun, along with their respective followers.
Upon the assassin's arrival on Ralltiir, Garyn's homeworld, Mighella sensed his presence as a disturbance in the Force. She promptly urged her Lord to quickly depart, lest he too become a victim of Maul's deadly rampage. While her master followed this advice, Mighella confronted the assassin deep within Garyn's fortress. There, she engaged Maul in combat, intending to provide Garyn with enough time to successfully escape. She managed to hold off her fellow darksider and Nightbrother for a brief period before being ultimately defeated by his superior combat skills. Mighella met her death when her opponent sliced her in two using his double-bladed lightsaber. This occurred moments after she recognized Maul for who he truly was: a Sith Lord.
Born on the planet Dathomir, Mighella was a Human female. She possessed Force sensitivity, but chose to embrace the power of the dark side. Through this path, Mighella became a Nightsister, a group of Dathomiri women regarded as evil by their light side-wielding counterparts. As time passed, Mighella demonstrated exceptional skill as a warrior and in controlling the dark side. Her abilities garnered the attention of Alexi Garyn, the crime lord and leader of the infamous Black Sun criminal empire. Impressed by her talents, Garyn offered her an opportunity to leave Dathomir and serve as both his personal bodyguard and assassin, an offer she accepted. Mighella then accompanied Garyn to his homeworld of Ralltiir, where she was frequently seen by his side. In her service, Mighella wielded a sword capable of withstanding contact with a lightsaber, although only for a limited duration. Her presence also instilled fear in the hearts of her master's subordinates, and she would eliminate them without hesitation if so ordered.

Around 33 BBY, Black Sun found itself under assault by a mysterious assassin. Before news of the slaughter reached Mighella's master, two of the organization's Vigos had already perished. Upon learning of their deaths at the hands of a man known only as "Maul," Mighella predicted that they would not be the last, and that all nine of Black Sun's underlords would suffer the same fate. Consequently, Garyn summoned the remaining Vigos to his stronghold on Ralltiir, hoping to formulate a plan to counter the assailant. However, the terror and suspicion among the Vigos escalated to such a degree that the meeting quickly devolved into panic and accusations of treachery. To quell the infighting, Lord Garyn threatened to call upon Mighella to end the quarrel with deadly force. With her sword drawn, Mighella stood silently near her master, prepared to enforce his will should anyone disobey Garyn's call for order. As the surviving members of Black Sun calmed themselves and began to assess the situation, they decided to remain within Garyn's home and await the assassin, believing their combined strength would provide sufficient protection. Although he was certain that Maul could never breach his fortress and overcome the finest warriors Black Sun had to offer, Garyn found comfort in knowing that Mighella would be there to defend him should the impossible occur.
When Maul arrived on Ralltiir, Mighella immediately sensed his presence as a disturbance in the Force. This prompted her master to question whether a Jedi was hunting Black Sun, but Mighella confirmed that it was not. However, she was uncertain as to exactly what Maul was, as he felt like nothing she had ever encountered. Nevertheless, Lord Garyn had faith in the abilities of those guarding his fortress and was confident that the intruder would fail. Mighella, however, assured him that he was wrong and that all of his warriors would die in his defense.
As Maul advanced further into Garyn's fortress, Mighella followed her master as he prepared to escape Ralltiir before the assassin could reach him. The bodyguards failed to slow the intruder's progress, and Mighella advised Garyn that while this Maul was similar to her in nature, he was something else entirely. Slightly frustrated by her assessment, Garyn ordered his personal aide, Oolth, to prepare his private yacht for immediate departure as the trio entered the lowest level of the Black Sun fortress. Mighella held back when she felt Maul's approach through the Force, and she ordered her master and his aide to leave without her. Garyn initially refused, valuing Mighella for her killing abilities and preferring not to lose her in battle. Mighella refused in turn and demanded that Garyn leave so that she could deal with the intruder.

When Maul appeared before her, Mighella blocked his path, asking if he was familiar with those of her kind. Maul recognized her as a Nightsister of Dathomir, well-versed in the application of the Force's dark side. In turn, Mighella recognized the tattoos on Maul's body, identifying him as a Nightbrother. However, when he remarked that she was inexperienced in battling one of his kind, Mighella attacked, determined to prove him wrong. They dueled, exchanging blows without either gaining an advantage, until Mighella's sword shattered, unable to withstand the energy of Maul's double-bladed lightsaber. The Nightsister possessed other weapons, however, and subjected her opponent to a barrage of Force lightning, which brought Maul to his knees. Believing she had humbled him with the power of the dark side, Mighella began to gloat over her seemingly defeated enemy, only to stare in disbelief as he resisted her conjured electricity. It was then that she realized Maul was far more than an ordinary assassin; he was, in fact, a Lord of the Sith. Mighella's realization lasted mere seconds as Darth Maul recovered and swiftly killed her by slicing her in half at the waist, eliminating the last line of defense for Mighella's master, whom Maul killed shortly thereafter.
Mighella was a pale-skinned woman with full brown hair and eyes that had turned yellow due to prolonged exposure to the dark side. Her fair white skin contrasted with the dark tattoos adorning her face, covering her eyes, nose, and cheeks. She also had tattoos on either side of her lips, giving the impression that she was always smiling, even when she was not. She adorned her forehead with a golden jeweled pendant shaped like an arrowhead.
Mighella rarely spoke, and when she did, it was usually in response to her master, Alexi Garyn. It was unusual for Mighella to serve a man, as the women of Dathomir considered males inferior and subjected them to lives of slavery. However, Mighella respected her master and fulfilled her role as his bodyguard to his satisfaction. Her loyalty was evident when she insisted that he save his own life while she attempted to deal with the threat. Ultimately, she failed to accomplish the task for which the leader of Black Sun had brought her from Dathomir, as she was killed in combat by Darth Maul just before he killed Lord Garyn.

Mighella was considered among the most powerful Nightsisters and possessed considerable mastery of the dark side of the Force. She displayed talent with precognition, predicting the deaths of all of Black Sun's Vigos. She was also able to sense disturbances through the Force, becoming aware of Darth Maul's presence and approach on Ralltiir. Mighella could apply the dark side offensively, using Force lightning. Although a powerful attack, her lightning proved insufficient against Darth Maul, who overcame it before killing her.
She was a highly skilled warrior who fought with a semi-lightsaber-resistant sword. Her combat prowess captured the attention of Alexi Garyn, the leader of Black Sun, who brought her from Dathomir to serve as his personal enforcer. In battle, she was more formidable than any of Garyn's other guards and warriors. She could contend with a Sith Lord, holding him at bay temporarily and even bringing him to his knees with her mastery of the dark side. However, her power was ultimately insufficient, as Darth Maul's superior command of the dark side allowed him to defeat her.
Mighella's initial appearance was in the third installment of the Darth Maul comic series by author Ron Marz. Her next appearance was in the fourth and final issue, with art by Jan Duursema in both. To date, Mighella has only made these two appearances, but she was featured in a picture of Dathomir's Nightsisters in Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force, illustrated by Chris Trevas.
