The Mining Guild Freighter, a modified version of the Darius G-class freighter, operated throughout both the Imperial Era and the New Republic Era. During the time of the Galactic Empire, organizations such as the Pyke Syndicate and the Hutt Clan employed the Mining Guild Freighter as both a transport vessel and a warship. Subsequently, during the New Republic Era, numerous freighters became part of the Citizens' Fleet, participating in the Battle of Exegol.
The Mining Guild Freighter represented a modified iteration of the Darius G-class freighter. This freighter incorporated three sublight engines arranged in a triangular configuration, along with a hyperdrive, and featured external cargo holds located on both the port and starboard sides. Situated at the ship's bow was the bridge, exhibiting a visual similarity to the front of a Consular-class space cruiser. Its armament included a minimum of two twin laser cannons, positioned below the bridge on either side.

This freighter saw action during the Imperial Era, serving civilians, the Mining Guild, and the Pyke Syndicate. The Pykes used the vessel in combat to support their illicit activities. Later, amidst the war between the First Order and the Resistance, a multitude of these starships joined the Citizens' Fleet, assembled by General Lando Calrissian to assist the Resistance against the forces of the Sith Eternal during the Battle of Exegol, working alongside standard Darius G-class ships.
The Mining Guild Freighter made its debut appearance in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, with its identification confirmed in the "A Final Alliance" clip, a behind-the-scenes featurette included with the Target-exclusive home video release.
