Minions of Xendor

"Minions of Xendor" served as a curse, designating both the Legions of Lettow and their commander, Xendor.

History

The expression "Minions of Xendor" was applied to those who gave their support to Xendor during the First Great Schism

The term "Minions of Xendor" was used to describe the Legions of Lettow, those who were loyal to General Xendor, a Kashi Mer exile and one-time Jedi Knight, during the time of the First Great Schism in 24,500 BBY.

During the time of the Clone Wars, specifically in 22 BBY, Padawan Halagad Ventor employed the phrase while he was on a mission to the planet of Skye.

During the Imperial Period, smugglers frequently used this phrase, including individuals such as Han Solo, Mako Spince, Bria Tharen, Falan Iniro, and Lando Calrissian. Solo often exclaimed the expression when caught off guard.

Behind the scenes

The utterance "Minions of Xendor" initially surfaced in the 1997 novel The Paradise Snare, the initial installment of Star Wars: The Han Solo Trilogy penned by A. C. Crispin. Later, the 2001 article The Emperor's Pawns, co-authored by Abel G. Peña and featured in Star Wars Gamer 5, clarified that "Xendor and his minions" were in fact the Dark Jedi who instigated the First Great Schism, a conflict first alluded to in the 1996 comic Tales of the Jedi – The Golden Age of the Sith 0. Finally, the 2005 reference work The New Essential Chronology, co-created by Daniel Wallace, formally identified Xendor's followers as the Legions of Lettow.
