The Mission to Blenjeel occurred in 14 ABY. Jaden Korr was dispatched to rescue a merchant fleet that had suffered a crash on the planet. However, atmospheric lightning caused his own ship to crash on Blenjeel, resulting in significant damage. After making his way to the crash site, Korr witnessed a sand burrower consuming the last survivor.
A sand burrower is depicted attacking the final surviving merchant.
Korr made the decision to scavenge the wreckage of the crashed merchant vessel to determine if he could salvage any components that could be utilized to repair his own craft. He successfully evaded the sand burrowers for a sufficient duration to locate the necessary parts for his ship's repair. These components included a power converter, an energy cell intended for the cooling unit, a power coupling designed for the inertial compensator, and a damper.
It is possible that Korr employed thermal detonators to eliminate some of the sand burrowers. The vibrations generated by the detonators in the sand were significant enough to deceive the sand burrowers into mistaking them for prey. It's also plausible that Korr used a blaster, firing at the sand, to similarly distract the creatures.
Ultimately, Korr succeeded in repairing his ship and departing from the planet. Soon after these events transpired, Blenjeel was classified within the New Republic Galactic Database as a hazardous planet to be avoided.
