The Moog Mot VI Mission, orchestrated by Sollima, an Aleena crime lord, aimed to reclaim his accounting droid. The Galactic Empire possessed the droid, and Sollima feared the information stored within its data core could be used against him.
In the year 1 BBY, Billal Batross, leveraging his position within Sollima's gambling network, illicitly diverted funds from Aleena's accounts. When Sollima's accounting droid detected this activity, Batross covertly sold the droid to agents of the Galactic Empire to conceal his actions. The Empire intended to exploit the data within the droid's core to gain control of Sollima's casino world, the Hollow Moon. Direct military intervention was not a viable option, as the moon resided within the Khorya system of the Hutt sector, where Imperial influence in that region of the galaxy was limited. Despite embezzling money from the crime lord, Batross remained indebted to him. In desperation, he proposed to Sollima that he would retrieve the droid, which Sollima believed had been stolen by the Empire, in exchange for the cancellation of his debt. Around this time, Han Solo, an old associate of Billal Batross, found himself in debt to Sollima on the Outer Rim world of Simbarc, unable to repay it. Seeing an opportunity to help his friend, Batross suggested to the Aleena that Solo could work off his debt by joining him on the droid retrieval mission, a proposition to which Sollima agreed.
Using Solo's starship, the Millennium Falcon, a customized YT-1300 light freighter, as their transport, the pair journeyed to the Imperial banking world of Moog Mot VI, the droid's location. Upon landing, they successfully infiltrated the planetary Imperial Garrison by donning fake Imperial uniforms. Locating the laboratory housing the droid, Solo subdued the lone technician present, instructing Batross to retrieve the droid and depart immediately. However, Batross had ulterior motives and used his blaster pistol to destroy the droid's data core, concealing his embezzlement from Sollima. As Sollima had explicitly ordered the droid's return intact, Solo became enraged at his unsuspecting partner. Batross assured Solo that they could attribute the damage to Imperial stormtroopers and asserted that he had the situation under control, just as an alarm signaled their presence within the garrison. The duo hastily grabbed the droid's remains and attempted to return to the Millennium Falcon, only to encounter a squad of stormtroopers along their path. While Solo initially sought an alternative route, Batross opted for immediate surrender. As they were escorted to the interrogation room, Solo implored Batross to withhold all information, regardless of the torture inflicted.
Despite Han Solo's resistance to torture, Batross quickly divulged all details regarding Sollima and their mission after being restrained. Captain Taavin of the Galactic Empire then ordered the release of both prisoners, offering them a choice: face trial for sabotage and treason or betray Sollima and aid the Empire in establishing control over the Hollow Moon. He revealed that the Imperial authorities had already convinced the Hutts to cede the moon to the Empire, requiring only someone within the gambling network to disable its defense system, thereby facilitating the Imperial takeover. According to Taavin's plan, Batross and Solo would complete their mission, returning the droid's remains to Sollima, and then utilize a security key provided by Taavin to override the gambling network's security code. Faced with imprisonment as their only alternative, the pair were compelled to agree.

Upon their return to the Hollow Moon, Solo and Batross arrived at Sollima's office, presenting him with the droid's data core, which had been modified by Imperial engineers to appear intact. The Allena crime lord expressed his displeasure at the violation of his orders and instructed his bodyguards to execute both scoundrels. At that moment, Batross feigned betrayal of his partner, claiming that Solo was working for the Empire. This revelation momentarily distracted Sollima, allowing Batross to activate a bomb concealed within the droid's former data core and hurl it at the gangster's bodyguards, resulting in their deaths. Both Humans and the Aleena survived the explosion with relatively minor injuries. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Han Solo employed Taavin's security key to disable the gambling network's defense system, enabling the Imperial Fleet to seize control of the gambling establishment.
