The Mission to the Rig represents an operation carried out by members of the esteemed Jedi High Council during the period known as the Clone Wars.
Following a battle on Null, the Jedi Council discovered that a reward was offered for the capture of Jedi, and that members belonging to the Crimson Nova bounty hunters organization were trying to claim it. Instead of allowing his Jedi to become targets both on and off the battlefield, Mace Windu gathered a team consisting of the most skilled Jedi available—Jedi Masters Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar, the very same Jedi who would eventually fight Palpatine—and infiltrated the headquarters of the Crimson Nova, situated on the The Rig space station.
Windu's squad successfully bypassed The Rig's defenses. Mace made sure his presence was obvious to the bounty hunters, drawing their attention away from the other Jedi. Kolar pretended to be Argent Kole, a bounty hunter seeking to receive credits for his "prisoner", Kit Fisto. Simultaneously, Fisto sparked disturbances among the prisoners, while Tiin, disguised as a smuggler, detonated an explosive device in the hangar bays.

Once Windu was on the Rig, he demanded to know who within the Bounty Hunters' Guild was responsible for placing the bounties on the Jedi. The bounty hunters in the area then attacked Windu, but were quickly defeated. As chaos engulfed The Rig, the Jedi initiated their display of power, battling their way to the command center and ensuring the deaths of the guild's leaders. The bounties were then removed, and the person responsible, Kh'aris Fenn, was later killed by Quinlan Vos.
