Mission to Vorzyd IV
The Vorzyd IV Mission saw Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi dispatched in 40 BBY.
Prelude
While stationed at the Jedi Temple, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi received a plea for help from the inhabitants of Vorzyd IV regarding acts of sabotage targeting their monitoring infrastructure.
The Mission
Upon their arrival on the planet, the two Jedi were greeted by Chairman Port. He explained that their monitoring systems were being sabotaged, which was disrupting their operations. Following a thorough investigation, the Jedi discovered that the Freelies were responsible for the sabotage. This group was led by the chairman's son, Grath. The group's goal was to transform their parents' "work-centric" lifestyle into a more relaxed one, believing that a balance between work and leisure could create a better society. It was also believed that their reasoning was from their close connection to the "Gambler's World" of Vorzyd V, famous for its numerous casinos and amusement parks. Despite this, they agreed to assist Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon in restoring peace to the world.
Aftermath
For a considerable duration, the two factions coexisted peacefully. However, following the widespread destruction of the Jedi Order and the rise of the Galactic Empire, the Freelies launched attacks on the neighboring planet Vorzyd V. During Luke Skywalker's presence on the planet, they captured C-3PO, and instigated a conflict with a contingent of Imperial stormtroopers, resulting in numerous fatalities.
