Mongorrt, a male Chev, was enslaved by his Chevin master, Nunk Plaarvin, and held membership in the Raff Syndicate. Serving as the head of security on Metellos 3, he encountered Marn Hierogryph, operating under the alias "Professor Gryphomarn," who attempted a con using Jarael and Rohlan Dyre as accomplices. Plaarvin, having uncovered the scheme, instructed Mongorrt to apprehend Hierogryph and his associates. The Chevs successfully captured Jarael and Rohlan using Energy bolas, but Zayne Carrick's prompt arrival rescued Hierogryph. Following Plaarvin's directives, Mongorrt transported Jarael and Rohlan to the Metellos solar observatory's observation dome for their execution. Later, Marn Hierogryph and Zayne Carrick initiated a second con, this time aiming to rescue their companions. Disguising Slyssk as a representative of the Raff Syndicate, they deceived Plaarvin into believing the Syndicate was aware of his concealed profits. Subsequently, they directed him to a "rendezvous" with the Syndicate on the planet Jebble, unaware that it had been devastated months prior. Hierogryph then informed Mongorrt and the other Chevs of their newfound freedom, suggesting they continue operations for the Syndicate, a proposal they accepted.
