Mookiee, a wokling of the female persuasion, resided on Endor's forest moon during the era surrounding the Battle of Endor. At the Festival of Hoods, she, alongside Malani and Gwig, reached adulthood and received her hood. It was common to observe her engaged in play with a toy animal that had wheels. Her name was derived from a legendary huntress found within Ewok lore.

Mookiee's debut was as one of six 8-inch plush woklings created by Kenner as a component of their Return of the Jedi toy series, and subsequently as a figure within Kenner Preschool's Wicket the Ewok toy line. She is featured in the Endor Woodland Wagon set together with Paploo and Latara.
Despite the fact that Mookiee has not yet been identified in the Ewoks animated television program, two distinct animation model sheets from Nelvana present variations of a female character called "Mookie," both with and without a hood; these variations correspond to characters that appear in certain episodes. A Guide to the Star Wars Universe and the Star Wars Encyclopedia also mention her as a character from that animated series.
