Nelvana, a Canadian animation studio, was responsible for the animated segment within The Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978. Furthermore, they also created the animated series Droids and Ewoks which aired between 1985 and 1987. Steve Chadwick served as a production assistant on both of these shows.
Nelvana is also recognized for their full-length animated movie, Rock & Rule. An image from this film appeared as a reference inside the RPG article Star Wars Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO from Polyhedron 170.
The planet named Nelvaan derives its name from this very animation company.
In the 1979 Nelvanamation special titled Romie-0 and Julie-8., brief appearances are made by Darth Vader's TIE Advanced x1, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, and the Millennium Falcon.
