The Mote, a shadowport and makeshift space station, was found in the Kuna's Eye system. This system is located within the Moddell subsector of the Outer Rim Territories' Zuma sector, specifically in the Inner Zuma Region. Equipped with a standard spaceport, it boasted a Type I atmosphere and standard gravity, catering to the needs of the prospectors who frequented the system. A population of 1,000 beings from various species resided there, and the station saw numerous gun battles during its existence.
Situated close to the edge of the Kuna's Eye system, the space station called the Mote was within the Inner Zuma Region and the Moddell subsector of the Outer Rim Zuma sector. Due to its system's proximity (less than 1,000 light-years) to the galactic plane, it was also a part of the thin disk, extending an equal distance above and below the plane.
The Mote, a station of cobbled-together design, offered standard gravity and a Type I atmosphere. It featured a standard spaceport, mini-refineries, law offices, flophouses, and cantinas, providing services for the prospectors who often visited the system.
By 43 ABY, the Mote housed a population of 1,000 individuals from different species and had been the scene of several gun battles. Furthermore, many deals had been negotiated on board. It had also evolved into a lawless shadowport.
The Mote was originally mentioned in the Endor and the Moddell Sector article, which was written by Craig Robert Carey, Daniel Wallace, and Jason Fry. This article appeared in the ninth issue of Star Wars Gamer magazine, which was released on March 1, 2002. It also appeared in The Essential Atlas, a reference book by Wallace and Fry, which came out on August 18, 2009.
