Nagak

The stabmen, also known as styanax hunters, who hailed from Tralus, frequently employed broad-beamed canoes called nagaks. These vessels, most often seen on the Sea of Jarad, were propelled by oars. In addition to two to four stabmen armed with harpoons, a nagak typically needed approximately twelve rowers to operate. To maintain the element of surprise, nagaks were built without repulsor or propeller engines. This was because the styanax, both intelligent hunters and perceptive prey, possessed the ability to detect motorized watercraft.
