Nala tree frogs, originating from Ylesia, played a pivotal role in the demise of the Hutt known as Aruk.
During his reign as overlord of Ylesia, Kibbick came to the realization that nala tree frogs were exceptionally palatable. Consequently, he dispatched a consignment to his uncle, Aruk, on Nal Hutta. Aruk shared the same sentiment regarding their deliciousness and instructed Teroenza to initiate consistent deliveries to Nal Hutta. Aruk, who was extremely obese and nearing a millennium in age, suffered from significant health issues. His doctor implored him to reduce his consumption of nala tree frogs, but he disregarded the advice, justifying his actions with his age and extensive experience. Teroenza then reached out to Jiliac and Jabba, proposing that they utilize a toxin, acquired by Jiliac from the nala tree frogs, to assassinate Aruk.
By applying minuscule quantities of the toxin to the frogs' skin, Aruk would gradually develop an addiction to it. After several months, Teroenza dispatched a shipment devoid of the toxin exposure. Consequently, the abrupt withdrawal triggered a fatal brain seizure, leading to Aruk's demise. An Imperial forensic team stationed on Coruscant ultimately uncovered the cause of Aruk's death, and his offspring, Durga, drew a connection between the nala tree frogs and the Ylesian enterprise.
Eventually, nala tree frogs evolved into a common dietary item for Hutts, facilitated by the supply chain managed by Fhnark and Company.
