Navigation computer
A navigational computer, sometimes referred to as a navicomputer or nav computer, was a type of computer employed for performing the complex mathematical operations required for faster-than-light navigation, specifically within hyperspace.
Despite being prevalent throughout much of the known galaxy, navicomputers proved to be unreliable within the Unknown Regions. Consequently, the inhabitants of the Unknown Regions opted for Force-sensitive navigators who possessed precognition abilities, rather than relying on navicomputers. Notably, the Chiss Ascendancy utilized Force-sensitive children, known as ozyly-esehembo, for navigational purposes.
To obscure his trail and safeguard the secrecy of his mission, the assassin Ochi from Bestoon intentionally erased the data from his navicomputer.
