Naval Station Validusia, a sprawling space station of the Imperial forces, circled a blue planet situated within the Validusia system. This station, capable of providing Imperial warships with refueling and repair services, was characterized by numerous spherical and spheroidal fuel tanks, along with a spire that stretched almost seventeen kilometers high. Naval Station Validusia's immense size allowed it to accommodate an Assertor-class Star Dreadnought, as well as more than a dozen additional capital ships; furthermore, it served as the operational headquarters for an Altor-class supply ship.
The first reference to Naval Station Validusia within the new Star Wars canon appeared in the thirty-fourth issue of the magazine series Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, released by De Agostini circa August 26, 2015. Conversely, in Star Wars Legends, the reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare marked the debut of Naval Station Validusia; this book was authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart and saw publication in 2012. Ansel Hsiao, an illustrator, conceived the design for this space station.
