A Sephi senator from Thustra, named Navi, served in the Galactic Republic. This male figure later aligned himself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the era of the Clone Wars.
In the year 22 BBY, amid increasing corruption within the Galactic Senate, Alaric, Navi's uncle, observed a growing bias in his nephew against the Republic. Consequently, Alaric resolved to support the Confederacy of Independent Systems, which was then under the leadership of Count Dooku.
During the Battle of Thustra, Navi, together with his assistant Moje, deceived the Republic forces into mistakenly attacking the Sephi, leading them to believe they had eliminated Yoda. Navi's attempt to announce Yoda's supposed death to the Republic Senate during the Battle of Thustra was thwarted by Yoda's unexpected appearance. Consequently, Mace Windu commanded that Navi be taken into custody on charges of offenses against the Republic and for plotting a murder.
