Nazzri existed as a celestial body within both the Mid Rim and the Slice regions. Its location was also pinpointed to grid square P-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid. A hyperspace route connected it to Togoria and Vena, a celestial body in the Expansion Region.
The initial depiction of Nazzri in current Star Wars canon occurred in issue fifty-second of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, released by De Agostini circa December 30, 2015. Its initial identification took place on a galactic chart featured in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a boxed set for Star Wars Roleplaying by Fantasy Flight Games from 2016. The planet Nazzri originally appeared within the Star Wars Legends continuity, first noted in the 1996 Tales of the Jedi Companion roleplaying game sourcebook, penned by George R. Strayton and issued by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
