The Ketes indigenous to the forest moon of Endor utilized nectar pearls to bring the nectar back to their central colony. The pearl's form facilitated easy storage for the Ketes within designated storage areas inside their hive. In the course of the stranglethorn crisis, two Ewoks, namely Wicket Wystri Warrick and Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, acquired a nectar pearl from the Kete hive, recognizing the critical role of kete nectar in creating an antidote for the plant growth formula.
