Following their arrival at spaceports, these traders would transport their crystal cargo within an orange container. Each Neimoidian trader was operated by a single pilot. These vehicles saw action during the Invasion of Naboo which occurred in 32 BBY.
Its design shared similarities with the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle.
The Neimoidian trader made its debut in the 2001 video game titled Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. Within the game, it functioned as the Trade Federation's Cargo Hovercraft unit, requiring an investment of 100 food units and 50 carbon units. The game's storyline was subsequently incorporated into the 2002 expansion pack. Furthermore, an image depicting it is employed to symbolize the "Cargo Hovercraft" unit within Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
