The Neuvia system belonged to the Colonies region. It could be found along the super-hyperroute called the Perlemian Trade Route, and its location put it in touch with the Ralltiir, Delle, and Yabol Opa systems. This route also marked the boundary between the Northern Dependencies and the Slice regions. During the era of the Clone Wars, this space was under the control of the Galactic Republic. The system of Neuvia is where the ice cream treat called the Neuvian sundae came from.
The system of Neuvia initially appeared in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book. Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry were the authors of this book, and they situated Neuvia in grid square L-9.
