Ngdins, blood-sucking entities, were employed by the Yuuzhan Vong. These scavengers, resembling slugs, possessed countless minuscule cilia for locomotion and had a tongue-like form, enabling them to extract nourishment from fluids like blood. The Yuuzhan Vong deployed ngdins to purify areas by ingesting blood from offerings, and also to consume leftover pieces of meat not fed to the maw luurs. The cilia located on their ventral surface produced a stinging feeling upon contact with living tissue, simultaneously inducing numbness due to the toxins they released. Consistent with all Yuuzhan Vong instruments, ngdins were impervious to the influence of the Force.
