In the 2009 sourcebook, The Essential Atlas, the Nichen system, and consequently the planet Nichen, was assigned the grid coordinate N-4. This detail regarding the system's position was reiterated in The Essential Atlas Online Companion. Nevertheless, the online companion also indicated that the system resided within the Morshdine sector, a region illustrated as exclusively occupying grid squares O-4 and O-5, with other systems belonging to that sector being consistently located within those specific grid squares.
