Nightsister Sith witch

NightsisterSithWitch-Mini A Nightsister Sith witch A witch of the Nightsisters who embraced the Sith ways, serving both them and the Galactic Empire, was known as a Nightsister Sith witch. The majority of these witches mastered the art of wielding lightsabers and possessed the ability to summon Force lightning. Their innate connection with non-sentient creatures made them invaluable assets to their Sith overlords, and they hailed from Dathomir and the Nightsister clan.

Rogue Nightsister

Prior to the year 13 ABY, one lone Nightsister Sith witch somehow broke free from her confinement on Dathomir and established a small band of Force-sensitive outlaws in the Outer Rim. They were intensely interested in the ancient Sith secrets that Luke Skywalker had unearthed on Yavin 4. However, they understood that a direct assault during the New Jedi Order's peak strength would be suicidal. Yet, upon learning about Desann's unsuccessful attempt to raid the academy, they resolved to strike while the Jedi forces were still vulnerable.

Capitalizing on the academy's disarray, they launched a swift attack, aiming to pilfer the Sith secrets from the base's central computer. Regrettably for them, they drastically underestimated the academy's preparedness and the prowess of Kyle Katarn, who successfully fended off their assault.

Behind the scenes

Sith Witch concept art from The Art of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

The Star Wars Miniatures: Universe character was directly inspired by an initial conceptual design for Darth Maul by Iain McCaig. This design, in turn, originated from a nightmare McCaig experienced, prompted by Lucas's description of Maul as "a figure from your worst nightmare." The appearance of Mother Talzin, a Nightsister featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season Three, was later derived from McCaig's Sith witch concept.
