Nolan Gillmunn, a male Human, was the commander of the Jabiimi resistance movement during the Galactic Civil War. He was also the son of the renowned Clone Wars figure, Orliss Gillmunn.
Nolan Gillmunn, as a Jabiimi Loyalist, participated in the Clone Wars alongside his father, Orliss Gillmunn, in opposition to the Jabiimi Nationalists who were under the command of Commander Alto Stratus. Following the Nationalists gaining dominance through their alliance with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Jabiimi Loyalists converged at Monsoon Mesa, awaiting evacuation by transport vessels of the Galactic Republic. However, Commander Anakin Skywalker, leading the Jabiim evacuation, prioritized the rescue of his clone troopers due to tactical considerations and limited transport capacity. Consequently, Anakin abandoned the planet, leaving the Jabiimi Loyalists to face their impending doom. Nolan, along with other Loyalists, bore witness to the Republic's act of betrayal, prompting Olriss to vow vengeance that would last forever.
Instead of surrendering to the Confederacy and Nationalists, the Loyalists continued their fight. In 21 BBY, Orliss and Nolan devised a plan to attack the droid command center located in Hyber Canyon. Despite Nolan's awareness that this was an act of desperation due to being heavily outnumbered, he remained loyal to his father. During the massacre at High Rock Canyon, Nolan observed the Jabiimi Nationalist Thorne Kraym fatally stab his father with a blade. Nolan himself, however, managed to survive.

Approximately seven months ABY, Gillmunn extended an invitation to a Rebel diplomatic delegation, headed by Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker, to engage in discussions with the resistance. When the Empire discovered the presence of the Rebels, they launched an assault in an attempt to apprehend Skywalker. Gillmunn led a team to assist Skywalker in his escape, but they were ultimately ambushed and captured by Imperial forces. Just as the Imperial captain gave the order for the Jabiimi squad's execution, Darth Vader's orbital bombardment intervened. Shortly thereafter, Wedge Antilles arrived in his X-wing to eliminate the remaining Imperial forces. Skywalker departed with the Rebels, while Gillmunn and his team remained behind.
