Non-incendiary photonic charge

Photonic charges that were non-incendiary functioned as a form of explosive charge that generated a burst of photons. Between the years of 44 BBY and 32 BBY, a band of thieves employed one of these charges to obliterate the fuel rod located within the power core of a mining outpost positioned on the planet Codia I's second moon, their aim being the theft of a diamonds shipment. The photonic burst emitted by the device interacted with the core, which consisted mainly of solid accelerite, thereby creating an abnormal level of radioactivity. This radioactivity suppressed the entire light spectrum within the outpost and caused the Defel miner, named Rosack Denahst, to descend into madness. Following Denahst's killing of all the burglars, the Jedi Padawan known as Obi-Wan Kenobi ultimately managed to reconstruct the fragmented fuel rod by utilizing the Force, thus halting the radioactivity and restoring Denahst's mental stability.
