The Northern Polar Command Sector, often referred to as the Northern PCS, served as the combat leadership hub for the space station and was situated at the highest point of the Death Star. Primarily, the Northern PCS oversaw the Death Star's command functions, including the execution of routine office tasks. Consequently, the Northern PCS included a range of audience chambers, briefing spaces, officer lounges, and other necessary command facilities. These included the Emperor's tower, housing the Emperor's throne room, and the overbridge, which was also located within this sector. The Alliance to Restore the Republic destroyed the Northern Polar Command Center, alongside the entire Death Star, in the Battle of Yavin.
