The North Slope represented the northern sector of Alanciar, a landmass situated on Kesh, a Wild Space world. Within its borders were located a number of cities dedicated to industry. Before the Lost Tribe of Sith launched their assault on Alanciar in 2975 BBY, Quarra Thayn, the Keshiri wardmaster, was ostensibly on a "tour" of the industrial centers of the Northern Slope. However, her true purpose was to journey to Point Defiance, a frontier fort in the south-western area, in order to rendezvous with her beloved Jogan Halder, a signal officer serving in the Alanciari Signal Corps.
