Obsidian Entertainment, a company focused on entertainment software developing, was initially established in Santa Ana, California, but later relocated to Irvine, California. Feargus Urquhart, Chris Parker, Chris Avellone, Chris Jones, and Darren Monahan established it in 2003. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was developed by Obsidian. The founders of Obsidian were once employed by Black Isle Studios, the studio responsible for creating titles such as Fallout, Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale. Obsidian's catalog also contains other well-known games, including: Alpha Protocol (2010), The Outer Worlds (2019), Dungeon Siege III (2011), and their most renowned title, Fallout: New Vegas (2010).
