Okana, an Ovissian woman, held the position of a junior nurse. She was stationed on Starlight Beacon, a Galactic Republic space station, at the time of its initial opening. Rodor Keen, who was a Controller, dispatched her to greet Velko Jahen, the new Administrator of the station, upon her arrival. Okana's task was to guide Jahen to the medcenter, where Keen was occupied with an ongoing matter.
