Ompiach, a notorious Nalroni pirate, commanded the Hy'thor pirate group around 2 ABY. Functioning exclusively within the Outer Rim's Mieru'kar sector, Ompiach established a leadership council within his strictly structured organization to oversee particular matters, ensuring its subservience to his dictates. Nevertheless, the Ithorian Venithon Twins, Denuab and Dorin, exerted considerable influence over many council members and harbored animosity towards their leader due to his parsimony and menaces. When Ompiach dispatched them to broker an agreement with his primary adversary, the Rodian Safonne Pendon, the Twins contemplated defecting from the Hy'thor pirate group after Pendon presented them with a more lucrative offer than Ompiach. In addition, the Rodian threatened to instigate a conflict with Ompiach should they decline his proposition.
Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 publication that complements West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, featured Ompiach. Despite the events of Alliance Intelligence Reports taking place in 2 ABY, during the Rebellion era, the book also suggests that Ompiach could be incorporated as a character in roleplaying games that occur during the New Republic era.
