Ooda, a Duros woman with orange eyes, served customers as a waitress at a cantina that belonged to Suli. This establishment was located on the planet of Chaaktil. For a number of years, she knew Bazine Netal, a mercenary and frequent customer, and the two maintained a silent understanding that Ooda would refrain from asking questions or becoming overly familiar. Once, while Netal was at the cantina awaiting a client, Ooda scolded the mercenary for injuring a pair of customers who had attempted to flirt with her. As a gesture of remorse, Netal gave Ooda a generous tip of several credits, which the waitress took. Ooda then told the mercenary that her client was arriving. Ooda was unaware of the client's identity, nor did she care to discover it.
Delilah S. Dawson penned the short story "The Perfect Weapon," in which Ooda made her initial appearance. It was released as an eBook in 2015.
