Operation Buckler

Operation Buckler, also known as Mission #3920R within The Rebel Files, refers to an operation carried out by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Its purpose was to acquire Y-wing starfighters through theft from the Ord Biniir orbital scrapyard. This plan was conceived by Red Leader, who was also Commander Garven Dreis. To execute this mission, the Alliance needed to utilize X-wings they had already acquired, disguising them as pirate starfighters since pirate groups possessed a significant number of X-wing starfighters. The Alliance's X-wings underwent a repainting process, transforming them into T-65B X-wing starfighter Exterior Variant /1 and T-65B X-wing starfighter Exterior Variant /2 appearances. Ultimately, the operation achieved its intended goals.
