Space mine

Space mines, sometimes referred to as orbital mines or simply mines, represented a specific class of mine employed during conflicts in the vastness of space during warfare. A light bomber of the Imperial TIE/sa variety had the capacity to transport as many as six of these mines within its primary weapons compartment. The dimensions of space mines were variable, encompassing both sizable explosive devices capable of widespread destruction and more compact mines designed for attachment to asteroids. The First Order made use of an Imperial minefield, a relic of the Galactic Civil War, at an unspecified point before the Battle of Starkiller Base. These mines were susceptible to detonation via a shot from a Glie-44 blaster pistol.
