The Organa Vinerium, situated on the Core World of Alderaan, functioned as a farm. More specifically, it was the agricultural property of House Organa on the Apalis Coast, where their wine production took place, supported by the adjacent Apalis Fields. During the Cold War era, amidst conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, the Alderaan Civil War saw the Empire-aligned House Thul seize the Vinerium. They utilized it as an operational base targeting House Organa's palace, who were allied with the Republic. A pro-Republic operative successfully eliminated House Thul's illicit CryoBan weapons and expelled the Thul military from the Vinerium, overcoming the Sith apprentices dispatched by the Empire to reinforce House Thul. Because of this person's actions, House Organa, along with the Republic, managed to regain control of the Vinerium and force the enemy away from the coastline.
The Organa Vinerium's conceptualization and creation were for Star Wars: The Old Republic. This massively multiplayer online role-playing game was launched by BioWare on December 20, 2011. It is present within the Apalis Coast area of Alderaan, and is a location in numerous missions for those playing as the Republic.
